I had just gone through a break-up and needed any excuse to be out when I stumbled upon this toy car. For some reason, this little wooden car gave me so much joy (more than anything in the past months), so I decided to bring it along on my adventures. I often wonder where this little car came from and decided to write a little story for it:
In the corner of an attic, a red wooden toy car sat forgotten, its paint chipped and faded from years of play. The wheels, once lively and squeaky, now turned stiffly, yet the car’s spirit remained. Small dents and scratches marked its history—crashes, tumbles, and eager hands pushing it along endless imaginary roads. Just a small, sturdy car, ready to race again, carrying the echoes of laughter and the thrill of a child’s boundless imagination.
In its quiet way, the toy held memories of journeys it would never truly make, and yet, somehow, it had traveled so very far.
